Mike Badger is a vein running through the history of music on Merseyside

He was a co-founder of The La's as well as The Onset and The Shady Trio. He also co-founded The Viper Label which went on to release music from the likes of Edgar Jones, The Stairs, Aviator and fellow 9x9 Records member Steve Roberts​

In 1999, The Viper Label​ released Mike Badgers debut album 'Volume' on CD only as their first ever release

​

Mike Badger, as well as releasing several solo albums, is a prolific artist and sculptor, being the man behind the sculptures on Space's Tin Planet album and their video Avenging Angels. He has had his work displayed in museums across the UK over the years

​

In 2024 it came to our attention that the excellent 'Volume' was long overdue a vinyl release, in line with the ever growing popularity of the formats renaissance​

9x9 Records  were the proud party who got to give Mike Badgers debut album it's much feted vinyl release in 2024, 25 years after it's original release
